The Beginning
December 2010 - Jeannie and friends playing ukulele at The Mallow hotel.
This event was the xmas breakup party for Thursday Night Choir.

One of our most fun gigs ever:

2020- March - in the Bridge Street Mall
Then we were in Lock down to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus - but Jeannie kept us together by posting a live event for us every Thursday night since!
The organising group had Zoom meetings:

August 2020
While in lockdown, we made our first virtual video, with many BUG people contributing to He Ya - for Play Music on the Porch Day 29th August 2020.
December 2020 - our second virtual get together - Happy Christmas/War is Over
2021 - still COVID
In 2021 most of the organising group still considered COVID-19 too big a risk to our ukulele friends to risk meeting in person.
Others thought it would be ok to meet outside under COVID-19 regulations, and started a new organising group, but the effort of actually organising this meant that it never eventuated.
2021 - 2022
Many smaller groups of people who used to be in BUG still meet and play regularly, often outside.
2022 onwards - U3A
The university of the Third Age, in Ballarat runs various levels of Ukulele lessons, and groups who just play for fun or play and perform.
Membership of U3A is $50 for the year, but then you have a world of lessons to choose from.
